Yesterday we took a trip to secure a venue and caterer for PD workshops to be held in Wangaratta (to be run from Wodonga's share of the DEECD funds for the Hume region).
We
visited a number of venues and businesses and we are reasonably sure
we've obtained everything we need to begin providing PD for CRTs in
Wangaratta.
We hope to have the first full-day PD run in Wangaratta in mid May and also run 2 evening PD workshops by the end of June.
Wangaratta is significantly closer to Shepparton than Wodonga is and we hope this helps some of you get a heightened level of access to PD in Term 2.
We are also working furiously towards some workshops for Shepparton in term 2! We will be unable to stick to the scheduling in the past due to the timeframe currently on offer from the DEECD. Due to the short timeframe we are working with it may also be difficult to obtain presenters at the times that suit CRTs best.
In the short term at least we believe that the return of PD for CRTs is more important than perfect timing. Rest assured we will try to keep the timing of everything as "CRT friendly" as possible!
