PD Day 2 - Inspiration through Daryl Brooks
Thursday July 8th.
Just signing in to say thanks to all people who attended our day with Daryl Brooks yesterday. He was able to capture everyone's attention and had loads of positives to say to us so that we felt valued from various view points, and his box of tricks session gave us MANY practical ideas for our own teacher's resource bag that we cart to school each time. Someone said "I would love to have seen what he had in his Box of Tricks", so I will try to get a list of that from him and share it. He certainly got us thinking about what we needed and where to get these new resources from!
I am glad that the Log samples were well received and that they added to your understanding. Again, it came through that now many people don't see 100 hours as such a mountain!!!
Anne's "Tribes" activity WAS as loud as a stack of animals at a sales yard!!
"Moo. Baaaa. Oink"
It was funny that a cow's calf ended up "belonging" in the same group as an elephant. Many thanks to Anne for this fun contribution.
Thanks to Anne, again, and Marilyn for their helpful, fun ideas in Daryl's session. These could easily start off our Gap Fillers / This Works for Me CD. More about that later on.
THANKS to the "kitchen hands" - Deanne, Elaine, Dorothy, Peter, Ralph and others - the staff will NEVER know we have been there!!! And THANKS to the furniture gang - Trevor, Russell, Peter, Graeme, Neville and Pat - you saved me LOTS of time and effort. Maybe we can start up a removalist career for you all?
I have emailed Jo to see if she can come and be our presenter for September and will inform all when I know.
Melbourne tomorrow, on the train, and lots to discuss with the other leaders around Victoria!
CHEERS!
